The Unkept Temple

So....You heard of a church that's loaded with people every Sunday and you decide to visit. Yep, there are a lot of people at the church, but you notice the building is in dire need of upkeep and repair! Grass and weeds have taken over the outside. The building needs paint and a new roof. You even see a couple of broken windows. The parking lot is full of holes. You walk in and people are sitting in filth! The carpet is nasty and there is trash on the floor, but all the people are acting like it's no big deal. The seats are ripped and dirty, and you notice dust all over everything. It's disgusting, but again, no one seems to mind.

What are your thoughts about this place where people come every Sunday, but don't care enough to keep their place of worship clean and in shape? It seems very disrespectful to me.

Now, think about this;  God's Word tells us that God's Spirit lives in us! Our bodies are the Temple of the Living God! So... How is that Temple being kept? What kind of effort are we giving towards the upkeep of the Temple of the Living God? How do your thoughts about Your Temple of God compare with the thoughts about that filthy church building?
